Dear Mr. Chater:
Re: Adopt-a-River- April16,2011 Clean Up Event
The City of Chilliwack's partnership with the ChilliwackA/edder River Clean up Society
(CVRCS) for the "Adopt a Rive/ program had another successful event on April 16,
2011. For the record, the Adopt-a-River event collected 2500 kg of garbage and 500 kg
of scrap metal from the Chilliwack and Fraser Valley Regional District designated areas
along the Vedder River and Canal.
The City of Chilliwack would like to extend our thanks to the CVRCC for participating in
the Adopt a River program and have enclosed a grant cheque in the amount of five
hundred dollars ($500.00). The grant is provided to cover the cost of insurance needed
by the Society, and groups who lack insurance coverage.
The CVRCS has provided leadership in environmental stewardship that is an inspiration
and a source of pride to the community, and is met with much enthusiasm by the public.
Thank you.
We look fonrvard to your continued efforts with the Adopt-a-River Program.
Yours truly
