Good deal on a Penn 330
« on: July 05, 2011, 01:28:58 PM »

If you looking to get into sturgeon fishing and want a good reel than this is a good deal. Wholesale Sports has the Penn 330 GT2 on for $84.88 and regular price is $119.95. Got their ad in my email today.

That's the lowest retail price I've ever seen on a 320

I have an amundson 8ft sturgeon rod that I use with my 321 gt2 from shore and love it. It's sensitive enough to see and feel the lightest bites but is a solid rod with lots of backbone. Not sure if wholesale has it but I got it at army and navy for around 100 bucks.

Trophy makes a good sturgeon rod at $100. The Techniums are my favorites but slightly more costly.

Trophy XL's and Shimano Techniums are great rods for the money! I also heard that Fenwick was introducing a sturgeon rod to the market.....has anyone seen them yet?
