Pink in the Burrard inlet
« on: September 04, 2011, 01:21:28 PM »

Hi there, new to these forums so I apologize if this has been discussed before (did a quick search and didn't find anything).

I live in the Burrard inlet, near Deep Cove.  I remember about 10 years ago, the Pink run was incredible here; they were jumping every where, even right outside my house and all along the coast.  I've never seen a salmon run like that since then.

I'm wondering where, and when, is the best time to be looking for Pink in the Burrard inlet?  Over the last week, I've scouted out Seymour river, the mud flats, Cates park, Deep Cove, as well as Bishop creek up Indian Arm.  I've only seen Pink salmon jumping near Bishop creek, it was later in the day and I haven't seen them since then (about a week or so ago, no luck since then).

Am I just very unlucky, or is the run over in the Burrard inlet?
