I tried to make it to the river yesterday but more BCRD things prevented that. ::)

Today we had another busy day but did make the river finally, for my first trip on the Vedder, I had the raft in the water by 6, first cast soon after.
I see many pinks going by a few feet from my anglered boat. A chap above lands a fair sized chinook and takes it. He is on the phone right away and then close to 10 minutes goes by and he has not marked his license, I remind him.  :o The rules is you must mark your chinook right after killing it.

I am into a pink shortly after, good to see the Maple Leaf float go down again on the Vedder, I lose the male pink, after a minute or two.

I miss a couple of fish, maybe smolts. :-\

I then connect and are surprised how the fish fights, I net the female pink, I think it is as bright as Rodney took today. ;D ;D I then decide to pull anchor and explore down river and schools of pinks are on the surface and slipping by my drifting raft, a chap with a fly rod lands one as I get near him.

Darkness comes and waves of fish pass by, I bet there is coho with them, I think tomorow is worth a try as I now have that coho fever.
