Fishing Poles
« on: December 07, 2011, 05:49:57 PM »

I'm looking for poles, the ones without reels used for course fishing. Can anyone point me in the right direction, possibly local?

Along the Middle Arm of the Fraser ...also near #3 RD (main arm) seen many Chinese fishermen ( never seen a female use these rods) ....have these very long yes very long...no longer than that even....very very long fishing poles...
Seems they do not cast out their line as the poles do not have fishing reels...
They just aim their pole over the river...drop the line/ float into th river Slack Tide I assume....any tides or currents would send the presentation to the shore quickly.

They seem to be having a great time as they stare at the end of their rod or float !!!
Wonder what would happen if a large salmon nailed their hook ??? Create quite the stir...
Assume they are going after coarse fish ...
