And imagine the unarmed/untrained "meter maids" coming upon/ticketing someone with a temper with no one around.....just cant see that being a good idea, lol.

That's why you give each one of them a Micheal Vick trained Pitt Bull as a partner!!

I personally feel a way to track those who have offended would be more useful then just adding "Meter Maids". As I understand, there is really no way to force offenders to pay the fines they are issued. However, if you were required to submit some sort of identification number such as a SIN or Driver's Licence # when you purchase your licence then they could add your fines on top of the purchase cost of the licence. Or if you had fishing privilege suspended for a certain amount of time, then the system could restrict you from purchasing your licence.

Fisheries fines are a Federal Charge, if you don't pay RCMP show up at your home and arrest and hold you till fine is paid.

When I first began fishing the Tidal Fraser was not aware of the license requirements. Received a ticket did not pay the fine till RCMP showed up.

I agree

Don't screw around then, Give the DFO the power to not only fine you, but take your Gear as well as you car until the fine is paid in full!!!!

At the end of the year, hold an auction and sell off all the gear and cars not spoken for, you will get the fines paid, and if not, make money from the sale of the Gear and cars!!!!!

Was wondering what the comotion was with the DFO on Tuesday. I was around the toilet bowl fly fishing  and did step out to the main flow when I noticed the two officers. Calling the RAPP hotline does work and it's great to hear you called and reported the infractions!

Well, Joel (the fellow in and shooting the videos) Has put up some excellent footage of himself, I'd recognize him anywhere,  in these and his other videos.
So, in the future, I'm sure if he's bumped into the river or off the sidewalk it won't be an accident.
(not that I'd condone such a thing)
He's even lighting sap, ON a tree, in the summer, on fire in one of them.
Class act for sure.

I decided to head up there for a few hours this morning and what a gong show. I couldn't believe some of the zombie chum that people were bonking and keeping. people coming and standing in your back pocket, tangling lines, dragging everything up on the rocks and one guy snagging chum in about 8 inches of water. It wasn't enjoyable at all and ended up spending most of my time thinking about pushing them in so I left. It's a disgrace that the people who want to do things right are the minority.

I am glad I didn't go today, was a bit itchy.
