Would sturgeon fishing be any good this time of year or would it be better to wait a couple weeks? I got a gift certificate I need to use up by May.

Thanks

Decent sturgeon fishing in late March/April.

Probably not much now.

Wait as long as possible to book your charter.

id wait til the end of may, and would try to see if you could change it for july or august. thats when the big fish are caught. but if you go in the end of may the water might be too high to fish. best of luck

Book for April, get the trip done before the water begins to get to high. Not that the high water is a major issue, it just becomes more challenging to located fish as they tend to move around a tonne with the water levels changing. April can have some spectacular fishing with fish of all sizes as the Sturgeon are awaiting the eulachon's to arrive in the river and begin feeding heavily on them. They are the first major food source entering the river since the fall salmon.

I agree, wait until late April, better fishing then, also don;t wait until late May, River may be blown and you may not be able to fish it.
