I haven't been on a boat in the Fraser .... I've never heard of people having problems though in the Fraser.

Those two phrases are self explanatory ;)  The confluence of the Harrison is an interesting spot. Several years ago my buddy and I were fishing the confluence for coho and wanted to take a quick run down to Mountain Bar. We were bombing along in the middle of the confluence in the deep clear waters of of the Harrison and WHAM!...gravel bar. We were expecting bars in the murky waters of the Fraser, but not there. So that's why the guide boats gave the area a clear berth  ;D

Although I have never experienced them, I have heard that whirlpools at the confluence can be treacherous.
