high elevation lakes

just wondering which flies would be effective at this time of the year at high elevation lakes 4000 plus ft OYAMA LAKE .thanxs :)

Most lakes at that elevation this time of year are probably still frozen...... :(

Chironomids, leech patterns and shrimp are my go-to patterns for right after ice-off.  Some guys use spratleys, dragon nymphs as well.

Hey Mike

If you are going up that high you might want to take your long johns and anti freeze. I agree with Old Blue and would add "Halfback" to the list.
