Hit the Upper river last Saturday with Geoff and had three reds on and kept a 12lber. The bigger ones just couldn't be held in the run we were fishing. So decided to go back on Monday and same story but kept a much cleaner fish that day, a nice doe full of roe.  There were springs and Sockeye rising everywhere.  Went back again thursday and there were alot of springs in the pool again. I managed to land a gorgeous 91/2lb doe again that was a bright silver fish, and also a nice spring jack.  Today was out again and not as many now and the two springs landed were dark and were released. I did get a bonus of another 3-4lb jack. Probably the last red spring day for me but it was nice to have these great days and no other fishers around.  Back to fly fishing coho for me.
