The last time we were there was around late June. The park has been back to normal operation since early this year, so unless something has changed this summer, the boat launch should be in excellent condition.

okay thanks for your reply. i'm going to fly fish with an intermediate sinking line and some leeches while rowing myself around. a nice break from the hustle & bustle, and the weather should pick up after wednesday. with any luck my chihauahaus will be dining on rainbow trout that evening. tight lines!

I was there in mid August and everything was back to normal. I think they just have changed the hours where the gates will be closed at 7:00 PM. You may want to check with BC Hydro if you are planning to stay till late evening.

Hey thanks for the info. I had a beautiful day rowing around the lake for 4 hours. unfortunately, with the surface temperature at 18C the fish were all hugging the bottom 100-125 ft. down and i wasn't really equipped to fish that deep. I'm not really sure they were in a feeding mood anyway, although i did get a hit on my olive woolly buggar at around 25 ft. near the eastern shoreline. my new humminbird portable fishfinder showed plenty of fish and i can't wait to use it on the interior lakes next spring. as for buntzen, i think I'll give it another 3 weeks and let the lake cool a bit and try it again. tight lines!
