Chilliwack River, September 27th 2012
« on: September 27, 2012, 09:37:30 PM »

The Blue Cup has been discovered as could not settle in there today so went to another spot and missed a fish but was then invaded by the snagging crew so moved on, for a coffee and mufffin. ;D ;D Another angler has reported this gang to the FOC report line.

Slipped back to the Blue Cup for 45 minutes this afternoon and it was vacant but so was the fishing, maybe tomorrow, may also try the Green Cup. as too many snags for the snagging crew there, another sorry year of fishing practices on this river system, what a shame.

Dr's Ernie and Chad have checked Leaf Craft #1 over after a 2 year hiatus and she is now ready for action on the big flow so maybe it is time to change locations to keep the blood pressure down and its almost ready for duck hunting too, no snagging there. ;D ;D

Thanks for the report, Chris.  I too, went out for a couple hours from first light till 9am.
First trip to the valley this season, and on my first cast on the very first spot, float dips after few seconds.....
A timely hook-set followed by a dancing bent rod, i quietly chanted "fish on!“ to myself.  I was like..wow, what a quick start to my salmon season... :D
I was even more excited to learn the head shakes and rolling from the other end of the line... After a quick battle, my first 'ho of the season was on the beach... a nice 6 lbs doe.;)
Stayed on the spot for another hour or so, with only one more coho jack and a couple misses, i packed up and left for my second spot.  I realised that the water was too low there and with nothing to show for after an hour, i called it a day.  Nice day to be out on the river!

A slow season for me, 3 spring jacks landed one coho lost, broke one off, species unknown, 1 snag and many misses but finding some nice floats have been rewarding. ;D

Was very slow for me and others yesterday. There were fish jumping in peach rd but they were lockjawed. Moved to Kw bridge and similar story. Saw one chum taken there in 1 hour
