Chilliwack River, February 13th 2013
« on: February 13, 2013, 09:21:01 PM »

Overall, not a whole lot to report.

I lost one and landed 19... FLOATS, that is  ;) I wonder what Chris' record is?

Water was on the low side, but the visibility was just as I like it to be. I saw one hatchery landed mid river around 11. That was about it for the entire day, me and my buddy fished from 7am-5pm, covering lots of water and using virtually everything under the sun from flies to roe bags.

Perhaps the fish are waiting for some more water...

I wondered wear my float ended up, 3rd one from the left  ;)

Nice score, no buying floats for a couple of years!

Wow, was that in one day?

I think i've figured out the type of water floats like to hold in. In one particular run, there were about 12 or so stacked up real thick!

silver ghost, you're getting into dangerous territory with Gadsden if you start naming names re float farming/gathering water. Float farming is a learned craft, requiring many years of experience before you can consider yourself a true float farmer.  CG has put in those years and depends upon those farmed floats for beer money ;D ;D ;D

Please don't reveal your float farming water on an open forum ;)

Oh I wouldn't tread on Chris' territory, I know how much float farms mean to him ;)

My gathering water is wild only  ;)

I believe Chris's float farms are certified organic.

Nice haul, sure save some money there from buying some more floats.

My floats hunt is like so far is like  this steelhead season..... scarce.

You guys obviously have some secret holes not frequently visited because when I go to the river it would be a surprise to find more than three floats in a day.   I am just going to have to keep looking for those hidden fish'n holes.
