lost Sage Z-Axis and reel on Skagit River
« on: August 10, 2013, 07:56:40 PM »

Well,

I went to the Skagit yesterday (Friday the 9th) with a few buddies and...........

We left the day use area at Nepopicum and I stupidly placed my 6wt Z-Axis on the roof of the truck we were in. I forgot to take it off the roof and we took off. We headed to Chitiondon and then the Boat launch at ross just to have a look. After that we headed back past Nepopicum to the spot where the river comes right to the road and takes a sharp 90. We wanted to fish there and that is were i realized the mistake i made.

Belive it or now, the tip and next section fell between the box and cabin portion of the truck and was still there, but the Butt and second section along with the reel were not there. I took off and went back and followed our tracks, but did not find them.

If anyone finds them, please let me know.

P.S. The reel that was on the rod was not mine, it belonged to a buddy, It was a BFR 375 (We think we are still trying to make sure it was the 375)

If anyone has a 375 for sale, please let me know as i want to replace it for him and he has several spools for this reel.

Thanks

Rick
