i talked to freds tackle and searunfly in coquqitlam and both told me  there are no pinks or springs going up the slough / norrish  creek. then fellow anglers  i run into swearing to catch pinks and the odd spring up there. i ever only caught chums and coho in the slough. i can see them coming in a little bit to rest ? u guys have  any info or thoughts about this ? thanks

Both pinks and springs will swim into the slough to "clean their gills" as the continue up the Fraser, but they are not a common catch.  Neither spawn in the system.

its most common to catch them at the mouth of the dewdney slough, but they dont stray too far up towards norrish, only coho and chum up that far.

Not entirely true, last year while doing some exploring I found a spring trapped in some low water up at the mouth of Norrish creek. I think there are a few around but certainly not many.

   Its very uncommon.   Although possible. I've never caught anything other then coho and chum in norrish creek, or dewdney, unless i'm fishing downstream of the HWY 7 bridge on strawberry island.

When anglers swear on something, it must be true

Just a couple confused fish will make it up there . 2 years ago i foul hooked a spawning female pink, then last year i got a surprised sockeye under the train bridge . It was dark but had silver scales , and that was in the first week of october .

Ive caught Coho, chum, a couple Cutthroat and 1 small Chinook over the years in the Slough. even witnessed a large Chinook up near the bridges of Norrish creek but nobody could get it to bite 

everything was caught on flies except the Chinook took a lure

I observed a dead pink a fair distance up Norrish Creek several years ago, however I think it met a lonely, unconsummated, demise.
