How do you execute a nice wallis cast?
« on: August 14, 2013, 01:56:33 PM »

I am fairly new at using a center pin, I have the over hand and side cast down, but I was at the river about a month ago and I seen someone do the wallis cast or somthing similar and it wowed me! I was just wondering if some one could give me a step by step explanation on how to do a Wallis cast. Ive looked all over the internet and I just cant seem to find a good explanation or video. Thanks  ;D

I myself prefer the modified wallis cast over the side cast as I am extremely accurate with that cast. Way less energy doing a quick flick with each wrist also rather than a fully body twisting motion for the side cast.

Johnny, your're going to make a video about this.
I have not seen anyone in BC use this cast.

On the vedder you wont see it often. Elsewhere, it is the only way to cast. Heavy Brush, and precise casts, require it.
