« on: August 31, 2013, 06:12:46 PM »

Thinking about possibly getting one to use for fishing. Anyone have any feedback to share?

I have the black edition.  I love it. The video is crisp and the versatility of the mounts is fantastic. I love that it does full Hd video and is waterproof. No worries taking it out in the rain.
Only down side to the gopro cameras is the battery life. I wish it lasted longer. I bought the battery backpack and I still wish I had more battery life.

I have the Black edition as well and love it. Not cheap but a very high quality, versatile little camera which produces amazing images/videos.

Battery life is poor but you can buy 2 extra batteries and a charger for $25 on amazon. I have them and they are just as good if not better than the official Gopro ones which cost $25 just for 1 battery.

If it is just for fishing etc the silver model should work just fine compared  to the more expensive black edition.

Cheers,
Dan

You can get the first go pro models off craigslist for pretty cheap. I hated the video capture under low lighting levels.

I have the silver, works great. I chose not to go with the black because I dont have anything else that runs 4k/2.7. I was thinking of mounting it to a wading staff for underwater shots.

You can come be my camera boy for a day if you want to check it out. ;D

Whats the battery life on a single battery guys? I have been thinking about one of these for work, fishing, ect.  Also, what are you favourite mounts to use?

Thanks!
