Needed a break from the office so headed out to the Chedder this morning.  Checked out a couple of places in the canal, tried the river-canal confluence, check the Peach Road area, went further up and scouted what I could from the road then dropped in to the upper Wilson Rd. stretch.  (no barking dog today)

Water is about a foot higher overall than would be ideal for fishing.  Several runs that would typically be accessible have too much current or the landing beaches are under water.  Visibility ranges from 12" to 18" depending on how fast the water is moving.  Water was silty throughout all the areas I checked.

Big surprise of the day was the number of fly fishers having success catching Pinks. 
Only saw 2 Coho on the beach in the places I went.

Hoping for a bunch of dry days to bring that upper river down and stop the silt sloughing.
