Seymour River?
« on: June 08, 2004, 04:33:15 AM »

Hey everyone.  Just wondering if anyone has any info on the Seymour.  Are there any runs happening now?  What can be caught up there now?  I am at the cap a lot but want to try something different and also would like to do a little more fishing with my flyrod.  How would the Seymour be for that?  Any info would be great as I am new to fishing here on the coast.  Thanks!

I hit the Seymour a few times this year, but it's a hard river to get around as there are houses everywhere and you're basically sitting in people's back yards most of the time while fishing it, if you're not at the mouth. caught a ton of hatchery trout  there this year so far that i've released.

They have a run of summer run steelies.  I caught a few small steelies on a fly rod there; a couple of years ago.

You'll find the odd summer run right now...but the Ho's aren't in... like at the Cap.
