Chilliwack River October 28th 2013
« on: October 28, 2013, 10:32:12 PM »

fished upper again today at first light, hit a nice pool and decided to attack it from all angles for a couple of hours. it was just myself until about 11am.was stacked with fish, would try a light retrieve to dodge them but I would feel a bump into the flesh.released and or snapped all the snagged ho's off but ended up with a decent (legit) doe.the wind really threw me off as I would look at my wool every time and it would be shredded from being molested by the fish.  left around 1pm when the crowd started forming and headed to work. going again tomorrow and possibly wednesday.will post reports, seems to be a god push of late coho as chromers ere rolling and jumping around. hopefully a couple of more trips until mid november then my reels are off to be maintenanced for steelhead seasonquick question: using an okuma raw-2 (pin), bearings were slowing down on a chilly day. would ceramic bearings do a better job all year round?

From my experience if the bearings or pin are grease they will slow down in the cold weather. I clean all the grease out and just use a good oil. You need to oil it more often but maintains it's speed in most weather. May or may not be your problem.
