A question for Rodney
« on: November 02, 2013, 11:05:20 AM »

Just wondering if the "Trout Fishing in Rivers" section on the main FWR page will be up soon?  It's been teasing me for quite a while now  ;)

I get why you say that, Old Blue, maybe put it with the subscribers section?

Having the masses get access to information on trout fishing in river systems will only increase the traffic on flows and increase garbage. You have to think that people here may be respectable but word of mouth spreads and destroys.

Some things are better left unsaid.

I would imagine it's because a lot of the rivers are small systems that can't take a lot of heavy fishing, which is probably what will happen if they get spoken about on the site.  I only brought it up because there is a section for it on the main FWR page that says coming soon, and it's been saying that for a while.

Edit: And the 'Lad beats me to it  ;)
And that's why maybe it should be for subscribers only? Or not done at all?  Either way works for me.

However I'm all for the fly fishing section where folks can discuss what insects are in what type of waters, and come about at certain times of year which in turn teaches one what flies or presentation to use on certain streams depending on its altitude etc.

I like the idea of a river trout section but my feelings it would do more harm then good, even with the level of fishing education we have on this site.
