Chilliwack River, November 7th & 8th 2013
« on: November 09, 2013, 02:32:15 PM »

Fished the upper portion of the river, lots of Coho, most starting to turn, but me and my buddy did manage to land a good number chromers over the 2 days, quite a few jacks too. And lots of clean chum. Still some time left, get out there!!

You sound skeptical, redtide.
Brandooner is right...lots of fish still there, and not everybody takes pictures of their catch.

I fished the high tide today in the canal and it brought a slew of fresh fish.My arms are hurting from fighting the brutes. It was an incredible couple of hours.Took home an 18-pound dime-bright brute that still had sea lice on it.
Earlier in the day it was stellar in the mid river.Buddy and I found a sweet coho hole and after about a dozen dark and/or unclipped fish finally managed a perfect chromer each.
He took a pic of my fish with his cell phone and I will upload it when he sends it to me.
Yes, there is fish out there if you hit the right spot, but it takes some legwork and some luck.
Cheers, Milo

I fished with the girlfriend late on the 9th...

Decent amount of fish moving through... landed a nice 3-4 pound bully, a perfectly mint 6 pound hatch doe and a chromer little hatch jack as well all in an hour. Saw some clean coho move through as well, but not many were interested in biting, and when they were the hits were very light bumps (watched a couple take some swipes but not bite it).

A fairly decent amount of coho around still, more than I have seen this late. Unless I lived 5 mins from the river though, I wouldn't consider it worth the trip, I'd be heading to North side flows at this time. Hopefully this means a good winter steel season ahead.

that male was over 15lbs easy. i had to net that one from the holding pen and he was a horse. Because of genetic diversity DFO observer only allowed that coho to be milt once. Only wild brood was used.
