With the report of heavy rain tonight, I decided to head out to give it a try before she blows up.
My friend Kenneth called me to tell me that the wind was strong this morning so I decided to wait it a bit. I left around 10am and got to the lower river around 11am. Water looks fishable with about 3 feet of visibility. Brown was loaded with people as usual and so was Bergman. I walked around and found a nice piece of water. The problem was trees were behind me and not much space to land a fish. I decided to give it a try anyways.
On my second casts, the float went down gently and I set the hook firmly. The fight was on and I struggled to land it. I saw the adipose during one of the runs and I quickly pulled that in and took a picture before letting it go.
Five minutes later, my float went down again and the fight was on again. It was short lived as it came off. I looked at the hook and realized that it broke off in the middle. I had bend hooks before but never a broken off hook. It must have been a defect.
I ended my day on another run where I saw someone landed a hatchery of about 6-7lbs. I also saw 2 fish rised while I was walking up and down the river. Just as they are coming in, the river will be blown!!!!
