Yukon Wildlife Preserve

While visiting Whitehorse, we took an afternoon to check out the Yukon Wildlife Preserve.  They have various arctic animals in large enclosure areas, making for some decent photo opportunities....

It's an interesting place with a noble mission of trying to educate people on the needs of the arctic animals and how the changing world affects them.

Amazing pictures!  I've been to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve as well and this place inspired me to concentrate on wildlife pictures.  What lens were you using if I may ask?  50mm? or Telephoto?  I'm trying to keep my budget low.  :-\  I have a Canon 60D and recently purchased an 85mm f/1.8prime lens.

Thanks!  It was a neat place to see the wildlife when you can't find them roaming about.

I was shooting with the 100-400L.  One of the things you'll find about wildlife/bird photography is that you'll NEVER be happy with the lens you have - you always want bigger and better ;)
