Buntzen Lake, March 26th 2014
« on: March 26, 2014, 07:47:26 PM »

Fished buntzen lake for 2.5 hours trolling some flies got lots of bites and landed 4 fish that I snapped a photo and released. they were all down around 60 feet sitting around there had my type 6 full sink line on. I did get a visit from a conservation officer when I came to the dock to unload my stuff. He asked for my fishing license, boat license and safety gear check. everything checked out good for me cant say the same for another guy in a blow up boat that looked like he was getting a few tickets handed to him so remember to have your proper gear when going out you never know when they will be there to check.

r do they get big in there/any wilds?

There are wild kokanee that'll get to about 2 pounds, wild cutthroat and the stocked rainbow. Most rainbows and cutthroats will be around 10-14 inches, but the odd one gets very big in there if you are very lucky and fish there enough  8)

My best days there were trolling a black spratley on a dry line in the old float tube. My dad did catch a nice large rainbow once though, on a full sinking line and black leech
