I've been trying to get my hands on the book "The Ultimate Fly Box" that The BC Outdoors Magazine has put out. I've had a glimpse of it and it looks like a good book to have by your fly tying table.

Available at Save On Foods.  Unfortunately, from what I've heard is that it contains a number of errors.

Thanks Fish Assassin. I never thought to check a grocery store for the book. I'll check them out tomorrow.

One of the best, in my opinion, is:
"Fly Patterns for Stillwaters" by Philip Rowley. Written specifically for BC Lakes. Very clear directions and accompanied by entomology of each insect group. Expensive, however. Your local library should have it as well.

Another good one, but not written for BC waters, is:

"The Fly Tying Bible" by Peter Gathercole. Some of the best diagrams I've seen and tying is graded by difficulty.

Great book for the money no questions asked. $40 at the local shop.
