river regulations but diffrent information????

this info says fishing limits closures and openings
dosent say its closed or anything
this one says

closed below bothwell park april 1 to june 30

so i cant fish at the serpentine today??all i want to fish for is trout no salmon

Serpentine is closed to all fishing. This allows salmon smolts to make it to the ocean without accidental bycatch. So no, you cannot fish for trout.

No fishing above bothwell park and no fishing below it until june 30th.I wouldent fish that river if i were you cause its a very endangered little river and it needs to have no fishing pressure for atleast 10 yrs until it fully recovers.

Koifish, the Province sets the regulations on where and when fishing is permitted on non-tidal waters so the synopsis is what you need to check first. The Federal Government (FOC-DFO) regulates fishing for the 5 species of salmon only. All the Surrey streams are closed through their entire lengths April 1st to June 30th to protect downstream migrant trout and salmon
