Any Interest in the Old Glass Lami 1264, 65, or 66?
« on: February 19, 2014, 10:13:19 AM »

These things have gone away from their listing. This post is prompted by requests here and elsewhere RE the old Fenwick SH-1264 blank. Which of course have been out of production since the late 80's. when Fenwick went to Taiwan.

I wrote in to Lami, who will roll them again, if the house minimum is met. Price to be determined still.

I've fished both the Fenwick, and the Lami, and they are equal to, or better than each other. Just the brand and gel coat colour to tell them apart.

Anybody still wanting to do up either  mooching, drift, or casting sticks based on the above. Or should I just drop the whole thing. Thx, kd.

Over a few years I have rebuilt several of these bruisers. I remember the day when a 1262 was considered light  :o My opinion is these glass rods are clubs compared to top end graphite blanks available today.  Look good on the wall though.

They ignored me, never replying to running off a batch, so they can put turpentine where the sun don't shine. >:(
