columbia river reports.

I was wondering about any updates on the fishing on B.C.'s Columbia river. I fished for Walleye near Castelgar  several years ago and now I understand there are Pike and Bass present in the river too. thinking about going Walleye fishing this fall and wondering about prospects.

Someone on this site caught a pike not to long ago i think.

Last 2 years I've been catching plenty of bass mixed in with walleye

how are the numbers of Walleye? I would think that with the onset of Pike there would be less to catch.

Plenty, especially if you know where they like to sit at certain parts of the day

  Walleye was the main target when I  lived back east as a kid. These fish are basically dormant from about 11am till about 5pm. Mr Twisters, and Repala are the best lures, but, best time to fish these is night time until early morning. The more moon the better. Pike and Walleye travel together hitting on the same setups. Casting from a shore is always best.
