Wonder what they consider as a "modest" reduction of insect bites ?

Any reduction is good, but you have to sweat it out. Gotta cast a lot and quickly.

They worked great for me as long as I was moving. I had Mosquitos fly right up, and sometimes land on me, then take right off. Impressed me  8)

I know you are already passed the clip-ons but I have been too busy fishing.  I've only used them one year.  Three years ago the Fraser was still high when I was able to fish and there were still a lot of backwaters that hadn't evaporated yet so the skeeters were out in force.  We sprayed down with Off and also used the clip ons.  There was still a swarm around us but there was a bubble they wouldn't come inside.  Worked great, well, until you moved.  Then it took a bit to get a new bubble around you and left you open for an all out attack.  For this reason I think it wouldn't work hardly at all for your dog.

Thanks TNAngler

I actually have the clip ons and refills - they were a gift :) I'll be trying it out and the others. It will only be my shoulders and up exposed so may clip to back of my waders. The pooch - probably cat nip in a loose tea bong thingy around her collar. Usually they aren't a bother but good to give us all some options for those skeeters.
