Vedder really slow no bites this morning.

Wow is it ever low!! Fished a hole down low and after getting there for first light and seeing fish milling about I was excited but sadly it was short lived After a few casts I see the fish scatter and shoot down river, it took a few seconds to realize why! Damn its a seal. even though the water is super low the seals are still heading up with the fish. Decided to pack up and call it a day, hopefully the rains come soon.

Rain is forecasted for later this week. Be cautious of doing the rain dance!  Sometimes when it comes - it blows the river out!  Remember, even during low conditions, there are fish to be had if you adapt.  However, I agree that the water is very low right now...

We tried on the 12th and didn't see anything at the Railway bridge. Must be a bottle neck lower down. Really low and clear and nothing but a black spring jack that looks like he has been there for weeks and can't go anywhere.

The rain is slowly being downgraded every day too. Not sure if the amount expected will be enough to change the levels enough to push fish in. Think I'm going to save the gas money next weekend and put it towards a tee time.

Managed a chinook today and lost another fish which I didn't see. As much as the river is low and slow, I can't remember the last time I was out in September and had 3 seperate spots all to myself, dare I say it was rather peaceful

Thank the Sockeye madness for your loneliness on the Vedder. Everyone is either flossing or totally burned out. First big rain fall will see the Vedder flooded with fishermen, can't wait.

Fished the lower river from about 8am to 10am...caught one silver spring (just over 10lbs) and saw one jack taken...otherwise quiet...need rain!

almost same situation as last year with water levels. looks like the only solid day with rain is thursday. but yeah the fish are getting spooked easily.

Sniffed around the lower Sunday morning and saw very little, landed 1 wild about 3lbs when the tide starting flowing in at noon, no other bites.
Talked to a few native boats on the way home fishing between the fort and mission. they are starting to see the odd chum but no coho yet.
