ya the nets are definitely slowing things down, i think we've had enough sockeye no? lol. was out first light today caught the smallest jack spring I've ever seen prob swam right through the nets. pretty slow still hopefully it rains all week

Launched at Barrowtown and the water was the lowest we have ever seen it.  Had to drift over a tree across the confluence of the Barrowtown channel and Vedder.  The water was low and clear we only saw a couple of fish splashing.  I caught a 6" trout on a lure I have had great success with for Pink, Springs, Hos and Chum.

Beautiful day on the river with sightings of river otters, herons, eagles but one huge surprise.  While anchored a 5" turtle drifted by underwater then popped his head up and continued downstream.

I was out for for 6-7 hours today too and only saw one roll. Not a sniff and I covered a good chunk of water.

Fished it for 2 hours this morning...saw nothing, every fisher I talked to...and there was a lot did not see a thing...I left at 915 happy I didn't waste my entire day. Looked under the keith Wilson for 20 minutes on my way home and did not see one fish. DEADSVILLE.

I was out today and bonked a nice little hatchery coho the second one this week and it was almost three this week but Friday night I lost one at my feet.

Its not too early, Chris......or at least it shouldn't be. The commercials raped all the fish this year. Anyone with any experience fishing the LM rivers knows the fishing sucks on the vedder right now because the commercials fished way too late and the bycatch of early vedder fish was devastating. Thankfully most of the smaller runs on the smaller systems come later.

I'm tired of so many people here sticking up for the commercial fishery when we all know deep down they are not a sustainable fishery.

On Saturday we got checked by COs. They checked for barbs and licences it was good to see.

Fished the canal yesterday morning and there was nothing. Last year at this time we had double digit spring days easily. Didn't see a single one and haven't seen one yet this year.

i think i am going to have to agree with robert. we were into two hoes on friday. one got tangle in the boat motor and the other had net marks all over it.

i also wouldnt recommend being in the canal with anything more than a 12 foot with 9.9 without a jet. its is super low, even the jet was sucking alot of stuff up. some places were less then the handle of my net which is under two feet.
