little cleos
« on: October 05, 2014, 12:17:27 PM »

ive pretty much lost most of my 1/3 and 2/5 little cleos
and i cant recall seeing little cleos in any of the shops ive been to out here
is there anywhere around that sells them or am i gonna have to try out r & b spoons

blue and silver little cleos below the float were the ticket for me this morning, landed and released 3 beauty springs

loving everyday's trailer hook technique, i only missed one hit this morning, ive just been using 15 lb seagaur sts to tie the hooks on seems to hold up just fine with a doulbe up polymar knot to the spoon and a double up double davy to the hook

Riverside Tackle in Coquitlam used to carry them. Give them a call

Little Cleo spoons look a lot like Lunkerhunt micro-spoons.  Maybe you can give the Lunkerhunt a try too.  I've seen them at Canadian tire:

Except the little cleo's used for Salmon and Steelhead fishing are not thin micro spoons, they are thicker, wider, heavier and longer.

The Blue Fox Strobe is a very close alternative too the Little Cleo; we have some at the Vancouver Army and Navy Store.

I think West Coast Tackle in Vancouver had some Little Cleos' last time I went there; but I would call Brian and confirm @ (604) 254-0004.

The Gibbs Ultra is a close approximation of the Little Cleo.

Cleos are thicker and have more color options if you can find them, like watermelon etc
Ultra spoons have the best Silver finish
The B F strobe has a nice hammered option but i found them too thin
Gibbs coho in a #35 is great too, more colors every year
or use something different like a k3 wobbler
most of these are in my vest lol
