Chilliwack River, October 25th 2014
« on: October 26, 2014, 09:05:28 PM »

Fished mid lower river. Water clarity was good and sky was partly clear when we started at 12:30. From 12:30 - 5:00, we had landed 2 out of 6 coho on. By 5:15, it had been raining for a few hours and the water was starting to get some color. A nice school came in and we landed 3 out of 4 coho on. All 5 landed on the day were hatcheries. 4 were female. Here are the 3 caught from 5:15 to 6:00 all on spoons. They range from 5.5 lbs to 6.5 lbs.

Highlight of the day was watching a coho attack my spoon near shore, miss the hook, but the momentum carried him out of the water. I gave a little yell after that miss.

First of the day

Thanks.  It's a cerise Croc.  I used it last year to target pinks and to my surprise, I caught more cohos with them than pinks during the pink run.  For the whole pink run, I hooked only one pink compared to multi-dozens of coho.  So, I decided to continue using it this year.  :)
