Decided to head out to the river today,
I set off around 9.30am the drive was well full of excitement as usual, some good drivers some not so good
,
the view coming into Chilliwack was awesome, The mountains, the fields, the wild life.
I decided to try a section of the river that i had only visited once before, when i got there i realized I was going to have a bit of a hike to find a spot to my self, (lots of trucks parked up along the side of the road)
Working my way down a steep bank i took a tumble, but i managed to stop my self just before going head over heels down a rocky section, few!
Hart racing i took a moment before continuing down the bank, then as i get to the bottom and look to my left a see a not so steep trail that lead down to where i ended up
When i get to the water i see nothing but fellow anglers spread right along this good looking stretch of water
I found a spot to fit in as the angler above was not moving down.
tried a few different baits but to no avail and did not see any fish hooked
after a while most of the anglers moved on and there were only a couple of us left along this big stretch
As I worked my way down river I notice an angler walking up from the bottom of the stretch, when he gets close he informs me that he just helped tail a 14lb fish
I decided to move on to another location, this involved a lot of hiking through brush, mud and streams, great exercise
i got to some nice looking water and again tried a few different presentations but to no avail
I then decided it was time to head back and deal with the traffic once again, wasn't to crazy busy
The conditions were very good, good visibility and the weather was sunny with a very slight breeze
so nice to be out there
