Caudal fin is the Tail.
Pectoral fins are the pair just behind the head.
(Some times clipped to identify as hatchery)
Dorsal fin is the big one on top.
Adipose fin is the small fin between the Dorsal and Caudal (often clipped to identify it as hatchery)
Pelvic fins are the pair just ahead of the anus.
Anal fin is the bottom fin between the anus and Caudal.
Note: not all clipped hatchery fish are allowed to be retained. Know the Regs and fish identity for the area you are fishing and that is best done while the fish is still in the water; Not after it's been dragged up through the sand and over the rocks.
