Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Society Loses A Director

We from the CVRCS were saddened a few days ago to lose our long time director Don Lanford to cancer.

Don had been a director for many years and was a key figure in making the CVRCS the success it is today, he was so organized not like me and so dependable, we will miss that smiling face at our meetings and cleanups.

I remember a few months ago Don brought his CVRCS hat and shirt to our house and told me, I will not need it any more, that still saddens me.

A celebration of Don's life is being held this Saturday at the Coast Hotel in Chilliwack from 2 to 4 and the CVRCS will be making a donation to Cascade Hospice where Don was so well looked after during his final days.
