WTB: Sturgeon rod + reel
« on: August 16, 2015, 04:21:23 PM »

Looking for a solid used sturgeon rod and reel. Would even consider buying 2 set ups if the price were right. Just looking to get into sturgeon fishing and don't want to spend a lot of money for new stuff.

For the rod I'm not too pickey as long as it's in good condition and is appropriate for this type of fishing. The reel can be whatever, Penn, Shimano, Okuma, don't really care as long as it is in good working condition and has a solid drag, spool capacity, and is meant for this type of fishing.

If you have terminal tackle for sale appropriate for sturgeon (weights, hooks, etc) I would be interested in that too.

We have fished for sturgeon a few times on guide boats and liked it. Now we have our own river boat and would like to see if we can get into fish on our own. Esp now that the fraser is closed for salmon!! >:(

Did you find your setups? If not I have 2 I will sell. Both used only a couple times. Have hooks and weights as well.

Nope no bites yet. Please send me an email to kcp@alumni.sfu.ca with the details and a few pics if possible. Thank you.
