Harrison River
« on: November 10, 2015, 12:05:45 PM »

Looking to take my dad up to the Harrison tomorrow as he hates fishing with crowds.. we don't have a boat so I was wondering if there are any decent bank access spots. I was planning on just rigging up a float and a jig for him.

Maybe try Kilby park . Not alot of current , however using a jig may suprise you . Other that that try under the #7 hwy. bridge . I was there last Saturday ,didn't fish it but seemed like a good bet . The river is still up quite a bit and if your adventurous you could park at the bridge , walk up the east side toward the golf course ,wade out a ways and cast aways . Just be prepared for a mucky trek .

How will it suprise me? Also is it bad to cut through the aboriginal reserve to access the river...  I noticed some access spots through there.

Last Sunday the river was fishable from shore at Kilby and under the #7 bridge on both sides, but there were no fish showing.
You could get lucky...

U may have the suprise of catching a fish  ;)  . I access from parking beside the bridge ,walking down the side along the river shoreline . Dead drifting a jig could prove worthy  8). Otherwise you could joint the masses on another system . Just sayin  ;D
