Sea-Run’s Fishing Report & Courses Update - November 14th, 2015Well we have certainly gone from one extreme to another this season with all of our warm and dry weather turning into monsoon after monsoon. For Salmon, there will still be some Coho and Chum Salmon opportunities in most systems until the end of the month. As things begin to taper off, there are a variety of fisheries available come the beginning of December.
With a lot of Salmon finishing their spawning cycle, resident and anadromous trout/char are in their glory feeding on eggs and flesh. From November and through to January, fishing egg imitations can be extremely effective on most systems where salmon are present. Fishing egg imitations such as Troutbeads or Glow Bugs under an indicator on a fly rod, or small float with a casting rod are your best bets.
With all the upcoming opportunities, one can not forget some of the best angling of the season, Winter Steelhead! Without a doubt, there will be a couple lurking around anytime. And by this, we do not mean fishing will be good, but we always see our first few caught at the end of November and early December. We are looking forward to this incredibly fun fishery! It cannot come soon enough.
^With that being said, Sea-Run will be offering a variety of Winter Steelhead Float Fishing Courses and Fishing Trips this season.
We will be updating our Courses Section very soon, so stay tuned for Winter Steelhead Courses. For an overview of our Winter Steelhead trips, click the link: http://www.sea-run.com/guided-trips/Check out our most up to date and detailed report by clicking this link: November 14th, 2015 update -
