Just something to keep in mind for those of you looking to get into drifting/fishing rivers - when I bought this boat stock out of the box and used it a few times I found I really enjoyed drifting rivers - it was a wise decision for me to get the boat and do this. Fishing rivers on it's own is certainly relaxing and good stress relief but floating a trout stream or steelhead river and fishing out of your boat (where legal) and/or stopping to fish hard to access runs takes relaxation and stress relief to a new level, even on local rivers. So like anything, you really enjoy something, you want to sink some money into it (like fishing) to add conveniences, redundancy, safeties, etc, (and in some cases, some do it as a reflection of how hardcore they are about it) to your experience so you minimize your down time if something happens and increase your chances of success. This boat is upgraded as a result. You won't appreciate these upgrades, additions, etc. until you step into a stock boat vs my for sale boat. You really do get what you pay for with river boats and this is a great price for what you get.
