So my girlfriend's dad took me out on the boat last weekend and was trusting enough to let me help him rig. Long story short, I put the clip on backwards and sent his downrigger weight and flashline to the bottom of the ocean. He was far from impressed so I am looking to replace these things and maybe someday earn a spot back on the boat. The only problem is, I live in Mackenzie and the only stores that have anything close to what I am looking for are in PG. Alas, they don't have the exact items I need.
As with most fishermen, this guy is fanatically particular about his gear. I am looking for a 15lb GIBBS pancake weight with a bendable fin and vinyl coating. I have seen other vinyl coated weights, but the fin is not tuneable; these simply won't work.
I am also looking to get a hold of a (possibly two) Gibbs Delta double Fish Witch flashline in UV Purple Haze (product no. 76556)
I understand the shipping charges on the lead may be extravagant. But the only other option would be to drive to the lower mainland and go on a goose-chase.
If you have/are able to obtain these items or know somebody I could contact in order to have them shipped, I would be very thankful.
