lets talk fish habitat

I'm surprised at how dead these forums are guess no one cares about fish habitat.

-- it is in part due to government not really wanting input...ie they could be advertising this and ensuring they get input
-- the other briefs come from the various fishing organizations and known stake holders. I have been at meetings where they basically say they do not want members from these organizations also submitting their own comments...similar to the BC fisheries regulation site. I don't think they even read them unless the information gets some traction from established media outlets. They are just complying with the minimum legal requirements to consult. Consultation without any real intent to follow or even investigate the options presented is meaningless. I do however still make comments so that I can at the least say I tried...and like the lotto... if you don't buy a ticket for sure you cannot win.

Its now closed basically only special interest groups commented on the fourms. Fishermen post almost no topics and thoes posted were by east coast fishermen.
