Snaggers or Parasite

Been fishing the Capilano and many of the fish I have caught have these distinct punctures in their skin...

This specific fish had 2. I think they are scars from hooks but cant be sure.

Could be, but seems kind of in a tough spot to snag a hook.
Usually i see snag marks along the back around the dorsal to the adipose.

Lamprey maybe?

The Coho schools were prime targets for these guys...
