We spent the last couple of days filming with Phil Rowley in Edmonton for a couple of new species which we had never caught before. Wednesday we fished Wabamun Lake for walleye and pike, yesterday we fished for tiger trout at Chain Lake. A few fish at each lake. :) The tiger trout were especially exciting, caught on balanced leech under the indicator in 13 feet of water. One even chased the fly to the surface and slammed it. The walleye fishing didn't pan out as much, the wind and waves were too strong. We ended up getting a bunch of smaller fish.

Dang Rodney, you've been having an awesome Summer of fishing trips this year so far - and that's just based on what you've shared with us.

That Tiger is something special for sure - I've never personally seen one and the pattering is amazing. Do these exist in BC or is this just an Alberta variant? Cool pic with Phil sneaking in for a photo opp.  ;D
