Shoreline Fishing Recommendations
« on: October 10, 2021, 10:45:03 AM »

Howdy folks!

I'm planning on heading out next weekend with a few friends to do some simple shoreline fishing but we don't really have an idea of where to go.

Note: I'm not really fishing myself. I'm just looking for a spot to have a campfire and cook some food. My buddies want to cast from the shore somewhere (it'll be rainy) just for giggles. We're not really expecting big catches and have no high expectations, though a few nibbles would be great.

We are mobile. Anywhere in the lower mainland Vancouver all the way out to Hope or Squamish are OK for us!

Thank you!

What kind of water do you have in mind (ocean, river or lake), and what species would you like to target?

There are many options, some requiring a drive out of town, others well within city boundaries.

Without you being more specific, it is really difficult to make meaningful suggestions.
