FFSBC has been partnering up with cities, rec sites and trails, the province etc and funding new angling infrastructures like floating docks at many lakes lately. I just put together a video about it:

What a super initiative and stakeholder partnership.  Great facilities for families and those without boats, but also those with mobility challenges.

The video was very well done, Rod. I hope it get's distributed broadly.

Thanks! Many more docks are planned to be installed this year. Davis is supposed to get one hopefully in the next couple of months. Both Harmon and Lundbom are being considered/planned.

- yet practically nothing is spent in either providing more diversified stocking or funding of docks in Region 2. Region 1 has some interesting projects to enhance lakes. the LM with the biggest % of the population and obviously the biggest source of license revenue gets 1/2 lb stockers. Seems to be a real imbalance there particularly with the logic of reducing vehicle travel by anglers.

Good point. No dock at Elbow lake where the latest video was made. Lots of people there now standing on logs to fish from shore.

I know it's not practical but it would be fun to have one of these docks hundreds of feet into the lake and/or along the shorelines. Give those with limited access just one lake where they can get to a good portion of it, rather than just one  corner.

$$$ lol... Each of those floating docks costs around $50k to install I believe.
