Started aroudn 7AM at Tamihi.  Fished for four hours and all I got was a little trout who went after a Jensen Egg.  It didn't appear to be hurt so I released it.  Did see a nice sized Coho but it saw me as well and bolted.  Went up to hatchery and saw some fish there to give me some encouragement.  Next stop was the limit hole and it sure was busy there.  Tried Allison for a couple hours with no success then lunch at Pointa Vista.  Returned to Tamihi for couple more hours then headed home.   :'(  No fish today.  :'(

btw, water clarity is about 2-3 feet.

At 2:30 vis. was about 3+ ft.

Oh yeah....Also tried the Cedars.   First cast - 13" trout took the wool hard...very exciting :(

Also at Allison, some little 3" trout that I didn't know I had on until I was about to cast him  :o

I figure, that if I'm fighting off small trout, then there aren't enough Cohos in there to really terrify them, and they are too easily roaming where the 'hos should be.  Pretty early in the season, but won't be able to get out for the next couple of weeks so I HAD to get out :)

We got what we wished in the hot summer days=rain plus more on the way Scottm.   At this rate the Coho season could be a short one.  30,000 plus Cohoes could be in the hatchery by the end of September. ::)
