I would like to get set up with a fly tying course, I've been to Hubs and Freds Custom and Chilliwack Dart and Tackle and no one is holding a course these days.  They are all starting up in the winter.  Does anyone know of any shop or place I could go and get the ball rolling.  Typically I would like to stay close to home (chilliwack) but if I have to drive I will.

Most flytying classes are held in the winter because it's generally a slow time for fishing.

Okay, anyone recommend a good class that I should sign up for in Winter.

When starting off in fly tying you would usuially start with a beginner stage in trout flys, cause trout flys are the easyest to tye, and dont take as much steps as the bigger steelhead/salmon flys

I disagree our westcoast Salmon patterens are about as easy as it gets when it comes to fly tying. My freind Randy the Hatch Match'r and I both teach fly tying but unfortunatly neither of us teach in your local at this point. I am hoping to work something with the Mission school Dist. for next year.
