I was up there just before Christmas, and hooked into 12 coho (a couple were snagged and released), not all were landed. The weather was truly beautiful, it has been a long time since I had a day like that on the river. All fish were taken on roe drifted in fairly shallow water.
I went out again on the 27th, and had yet another nice day. The weather was not quite as nice as before Christmas, but made for a god days fishing (as in the sun was out, and it wasn't raining). I only hooked into 2 fish that day, one snagged, the other fair hooked, both released. Dad landed another one...or so he says...also all taken on roe. This is definately the latest in the year I have ever caught a coho. Made for an excelent end to the Christmas season. Then the rain and snow set in and I've stayed home since.
This is now one of my favourite rivers to fish due to the fishability, and variety of methods used to fish the river.
